JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Title: Physical Therapist.

Location: Lancaster, PA 17603.

Shift Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible extension depending on business needs).

Pay Rate: $55/hour on W2.

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours.

 

Responsibilities:

Evaluate and assess patients' physical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.

Provide direct physical therapy treatments, including therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and pain management techniques.

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

Educate patients, families, and caregivers on exercises and best practices for maintaining physical health.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care in compliance with regulatory and facility requirements.

Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.

Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuing education opportunities to stay updated with industry best practices.

 

Skills/Experience Needed:

Requires a minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Physical Therapist or greater.

Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, techniques, and best practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Ability to develop and modify treatment plans based on patient progress and needs.

Experience working in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation facility is preferred.

Strong documentation and organizational skills.

 

Education:

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

 

Certifications:

Valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Pennsylvania.

CPR/BLS certification preferred.

Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
