Angiographer

Job Title: Angiographer

Location: Murray, UT.

Schedule Notes: 4 x 10-Hour Shifts (Days) + On-Call.

Duration: 13-Week Contract (Option to Extend).

Pay Rate: $80/hour on W2.

 

Responsibilities:

Ensure proper patient identification and order verification before conducting exams.

Prepare patients for exams using appropriate body mechanics and safety protocols.

Identify proper exams based on patient needs and utilize correct exam techniques.

Produce high-quality angiographic images through proper operation of equipment and instrumentation.

Follow patient identification protocols and maintain accurate documentation, including time stamps and image storage.

Maintain a clean work area and ensure adequate stock of necessary supplies.

Transport patients as needed and assist in positioning.

Develop knowledge of invasive, diagnostic, and interventional supplies, including indications, applications, and deployment techniques.

Assist in closure device application, sheath suturing, and hemostasis procedures.

Understand and apply principles of x-ray generation and radiation safety.

Operate imaging equipment correctly and efficiently.

Provide patient education and ensure patient comfort throughout the procedure.

Serve as a circulating tech, scrub tech, or monitoring tech as required by Angio lab policies. 

 

Skills/Experience Needed:

Strong knowledge of angiographic and interventional radiology procedures.

Experience in using and troubleshooting imaging equipment.

Excellent patient care and communication skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a high-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.

Experience in vascular/interventional radiography preferred.

 

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.

 

Certifications & Licensure:

Required:

ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registration.

State of Utah Radiologic Technologist License.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers.

Vascular/Interventional Radiography certification OR one year of Angio/Interventional experience.
