Job Title: PTA
Location: 7900 Constitution Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
Shift: 8 AM-4:30PM
Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible extension depending on business needs). 
Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to assist in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with physical disabilities, injuries, or conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of physical therapy techniques and the ability to provide effective, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide direct patient care through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality treatments as directed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Monitor patient progress and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, pain management, and rehabilitation strategies.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during treatments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with clinic and regulatory standards.
  • Provide support and assistance with mobility, transfers, and other activities of daily living as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of equipment, treatment areas, and materials for patient care.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control practices, and industry standards.
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Valid PTA license or certification.
  • years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (preferred, but not required).
  • Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, techniques, and modalities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while providing high-quality care.
  • Compassionate, patient-focused, and able to demonstrate empathy.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and move patients, assist with transfers, and support mobility activities.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods during treatment sessions.
  • Must be able to tolerate occasional physical demands, including lifting, carrying, or repositioning patients and equipment.
