JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: Echosonographer II-SATS.
Location: Philadelphia, PA 19104.
Shift Schedule: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible extension depending on business needs).
Pay Rate: $80 on W2.
Responsibilities:
Perform echocardiograms in compliance with lab standards and meet daily volume expectations.
Respond to emergent exams in a timely manner.
Follow department workflows for reporting, billing, and standard daily performance.
Ensure patient care is provided in a clean, safe, quiet, and secure environment.
Deliver excellent patient care while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Demonstrate the ability to provide developmental and age-appropriate care to pediatric patients.
Participate in staff meetings, research studies, quality assurance activities, and working groups.
Assist in teaching students, fellows, and new technicians.
Adhere to hospital and department policies, procedures, and cost-control standards.
Travel to multiple work locations as required.
Skills/Experience Needed:
Advanced knowledge of ultrasound physics and instrumentation of ultrasound systems.
Advanced understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
Proficiency in transthoracic echocardiography.
Strong skills in operating ultrasound equipment and digital reporting software.
Experience participating in national, international, or original research studies.
Ability to work across multiple locations as required.
Education:
Required Education:
High School Diploma/GED
Required Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of pediatric echocardiography experience.
Preferred Experience:
Five (5) years of pediatric echocardiography experience.
Certifications:
(Must be obtained within 12 months of start date):
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer in Pediatric Echocardiography (RDCS-PE) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer in Adult Echocardiography (RDCS-AE) through ARDMS
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) through CCI
