JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: Pharmacist
Location: Rolla, ND 58367
Shift Schedule: 5 x 8-hour day shifts
Duration: Approximately 13 Weeks (Possible extension depending on business needs)
Pay Range: $65 – $70 per hour on W2
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
 
Responsibilities:
Prepare, dispense, and manage medications accurately in accordance with provider orders and state/federal regulations.
Verify prescriptions for dosage, interactions, and contraindications.
Monitor patient medication therapies and provide recommendations to healthcare providers.
Counsel patients and healthcare staff on proper medication usage and side effects.
Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, pharmacy regulations, and best practices.
Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and pharmacy systems.
Manage medication inventory, storage, and ordering processes.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Skills/Experience Needed:
Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient or clinical pharmacist experience/
Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and dosing in acute care settings.
Experience in rural or critical access hospitals is a plus.
Proficient with pharmacy software systems and EMRs.
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
 
Education:
Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited pharmacy program.
 
Certifications:
Active and unrestricted North Dakota Pharmacist License.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
