JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: X-Ray Technologist
Location: Birmingham, AL 35233
Shift Schedule: 5 x 8-hour Evening Shifts
Duration: Approximately 13 Weeks (Possible extension depending on business needs)
Pay Range: $50 – $55 per hour on W2
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with physician orders and imaging protocols.
Prepare and position patients for imaging exams, ensuring comfort and safety.
Operate X-ray equipment efficiently and safely, ensuring optimal image quality.
Maintain accurate patient documentation in the EMR system.
Follow proper radiation safety standards and infection control procedures.
Communicate effectively with patients, nurses, and physicians.
Assist in managing radiology equipment and supply inventory.
Skills/Experience Needed:
Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient or clinical pharmacist experience/
Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and dosing in acute care settings.
Experience in rural or critical access hospitals is a plus.
Proficient with pharmacy software systems and EMRs.
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Certifications:
ARRT (R) – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Alabama Radiologic Technologist License (active and unrestricted)
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required, depending on hospital policy.
