Job Description:
Job Title: Electrophysiology (EP) Tech.
Location: Raleigh, NC 27610.
Shift Schedule: 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM (Day Shifts).
Duration:13 Weeks (Possible extension depending on business needs).
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week.
Pay Range: $70/hr - $74 per hour on a W2.
Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of Electrophysiology (EP) procedures including EP studies, ablations, pacemaker/ICD insertions
Support EP physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures
Operate EP mapping and recording systems (e.g., CARTO, EnSite)
Monitor and interpret patient ECGs and intracardiac electrograms during procedures
Maintain sterile technique and ensure infection control standards are followed
Prepare and maintain EP lab equipment and supplies
Accurately document patient information and procedures in the medical record
Work collaboratively with cardiologists, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
Skills/Experience Needed:
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in an Electrophysiology Lab
Must be a radiology tech trained in EP (EP Lab experience required)
Proficiency in EP procedures and knowledge of electrophysiology anatomy and protocols
Experience with EP systems such as CARTO, EnSite, or similar
Ability to anticipate the needs of the clinical team during procedures
Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and communication skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Education:
Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or related healthcare field – Required
Bachelor’s Degree – Preferred
Certifications:
RCES or RCIS Certification – Required
ARRT Certification (Radiologic Technologist) – Preferred
BLS Certification (American Heart Association) – Required
ACLS Certification – Preferred
COVID-19 vaccination in accordance with facility policy – Required
