JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: Operating Room Technician
Location: Rolla, Missouri 65401
Shift Schedule: 8-Hour Day Shifts
Duration: Approximately 12 Weeks (Possible extension depending on business needs)
Pay Range: $30 – $37 per hour on W2
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring equipment and instruments are sterile and ready.
Assist surgeons and nurses during operations, passing instruments and supplies as needed.
Maintain a sterile field and adhere to strict infection control protocols.
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot surgical equipment and instruments.
Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping before surgery.
Support post-operative care procedures and ensure surgical instruments are properly cleaned and sterilized.
Take on-call duties as scheduled and respond promptly when needed.
Maintain accurate documentation related to procedures and equipment usage.
Skills/Experience Needed:
Strong experience in General and Orthopedic surgery is required.
Prior experience working in high-volume OR environments is preferred.
Excellent attention to detail, ability to stay calm under pressure, and strong communication skills.
Comfortable taking call and responding during off-hours when needed.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist or OR Tech program.
Certifications:
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred (NBSTSA or equivalent).
BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
