JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: Rad/CT Technologist
Location: Caribou, ME 04736
Shift Schedule: 36 hours/week • Nights & Weekends
Duration: Approximately 13 Weeks (Possible extension depending on business needs)
Pay Range: $50 – $55 per hour on W2
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Responsibilities:
Operate CT scanner and perform diagnostic CT imaging following physician orders and facility protocols.
Perform general radiography (X-ray) as needed in the imaging department.
Prepare, explain, and position patients safely and comfortably for procedures.
Monitor patient status and ensure image quality; identify and troubleshoot technical issues.
Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant patient records and reports.
Collaborate with radiologists and team members to support patient care and diagnosis.
Support 24/7 imaging needs; this includes working nights, weekends, and being on-call as required.
Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and hospital policies.
Skills/Experience Needed:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT or Rad Tech, preferably in a hospital setting.
Fluency in CT imaging protocols and patient positioning.
Skilled in general X-ray imaging, including mobile imaging if applicable.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently during off-hours.
Comfortable in a small community hospital environment with varied patient needs.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Certifications:
CPR Certification – Required.
ARRT (R) and/or ARRT (CT) Certification – Preferred.
Maine State Radiologic Technologist License – Required (must be eligible upon hire).
