Job Description:
Job Title: Respiratory Therapist – RRT
Location: Springerville, AZ 85938.
Shift Schedule: 3x12s – Night Shifts.
Duration:13 Weeks (Possible extension depending on business needs).
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Pay Range: $50/hr - $54 per hour on a W2.
Responsibilities:
Deliver respiratory therapy treatments and services as ordered by physicians, including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, chest physiotherapy, and ventilator management.
Respond promptly to emergency situations such as Code Blue, Rapid Response, and trauma activations.
Monitor and document patient progress and response to respiratory treatments.
Manage and operate equipment such as ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and oxygen delivery systems.
Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling, analysis, and interpretation.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other care providers to develop and implement respiratory care plans.
Maintain proper documentation in the electronic medical records system.
Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and functioning.
Adhere to infection control, HIPAA, and patient safety guidelines at all times.
Skills/Experience Needed:
Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist, preferably in an acute care or hospital setting.
Proficient in managing ventilators, emergency response situations, and routine respiratory care procedures.
Comfortable working independently during night shifts.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient assessment skills.
Education:
Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy – Required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Care or related field – Preferred.
Certifications:
Respiratory Care Practitioner – Licensed by the Arizona Board of Respiratory Care Examiners – Required.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) – Credentialed by the NBRC – Required.
BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required.
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required.
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – RequiredCOVID-19 Vaccination per facility policy – Required.
