Job Description:
Job Title: Licensed Behavioral Health (BH) Professional
Location: Goshen, NY 10924
Shift Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible extension depending on business needs)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Pay Range: $48/hr - $54 per hour on a W2
Responsibilities:
Provide behavioral health services to incarcerated individuals, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
Deliver evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions.
Conduct mental health screenings and crisis interventions as needed.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical, custody, and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care.
Monitor, evaluate, and document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and facility policies and standards related to mental health care.
Participate in case management, treatment team meetings, and discharge planning.
Ensure patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in a correctional environment.
Skills/Experience Needed:
Prior experience working in a correctional, behavioral health, or acute psychiatric setting — Preferred.
Strong clinical judgment and crisis intervention skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent communication, documentation, and time management skills.
Resilience and professionalism when working in high-stress environments.
Education:
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field — Required.
Certifications:
Active and unrestricted behavioral health license in New York (LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent) — Required.
BLS Certification (American Heart Association) — Required.
COVID-19 Vaccination — Required per facility policy.
