Job Description:
Job Title: Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech)
Location: San Angelo, Texas 76903
Shift Schedule: 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM and
Duration: Permanent
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Pay Range: $50,000 – $85,000 per year (Based on experience and qualifications)
Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of radiologic procedures including diagnostic x-rays, fluoroscopy, and OR/C-Arm imaging under the supervision of a Radiologist
Operate stationary and mobile x-ray equipment safely and efficiently, following ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure
Assist in room setup and ensure patient care areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and surgical teams to support optimal patient outcomes
Perform ancillary tasks such as EKGs, phlebotomy, and obtaining vital signs, as needed
Take rotating call as part of the department schedule
Provide compassionate, high-quality care to both ambulatory and hospital patients while maintaining professional standards
Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records in accordance with facility protocols
Skills/Experience Needed:
Proficiency in performing radiologic procedures across multiple settings including OR, diagnostic, and mobile
Experience with C-Arm imaging in surgical settings
Basic phlebotomy and EKG skills – Preferred
Ability to work independently during weekend shifts and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Education:
High School Diploma or GED – Required
Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology – Required
Certifications:
ARRT (R) Certification – Required
MRT License from the State of Texas – Required
BLS Certification (American Heart Association) – Required
COVID-19 Vaccination – Required per facility policy (Medical and religious exemptions accepted)
