
Job Title: Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (Night Shift)

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
We are seeking experienced Rehabilitation Registered Nurses for a 13-week contract assignment in an acute inpatient rehab setting. This role focuses on caring for patients recovering from neurological, orthopedic, and complex medical conditions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and leadership in a collaborative, patient-centered rehabilitation environment.
Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, OT, SLP, and physicians to support patient recovery goals
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Administer medications and manage routine treatments appropriate to the rehab population
Monitor patient progress and promptly respond to changes in condition
Serve as charge nurse when assigned
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all hospital and nursing standards
Common diagnoses: Stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), post-operative orthopedic recovery, neurological conditions, and general medical deconditioning
ALC (Awaiting Long-Term Care Placement) patients
Typical patient ratios: 1:5–6
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
Minimum of 1 successful traveler assignment completed (first-time travelers not considered)
BLS certification required (ACLS preferred)
Meditech experience required
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
Demonstrated leadership and prioritization skills
